MRI 101 for radiology residents

AAVSB RACE approved for 60 credits of CE.

This 5-week course includes 25 essential cases the radiology resident needs to gain familiarity with commonly performed MR studies of the head, spine, and joints. This course is designed primarily for 2nd and 3rd year residents with a basic understanding of MR physics. In this course, you'll master the basic schematic approach for reading brain and spine MR studies.

Sample topics include:

Intervertebral disc disease
Spinal tumors
Brain tumors
Sinonasal disease
Inflammatory/Infectious brain disease
Congenital disease of the brain and spine

Instruction is case-based and self-paced, including writing reports. For each case you submit, you will receive a gold-standard report and key images to review against your findings. Each week you will meet with Dr. Sage via Zoom conference to review the cases and discuss any questions you may have.
